G.E. Gallas to Exhibit at PIX 2016

G. E. Gallas (The Poet and the Flea, Hello Blob, The First Reich) - G. E. Gallas is a writer and illustrator best known for her graphic novel The Poet and the Flea about William Blake (Radiant Pessimist Press) and for illustrating Scared Stiff: Everything You Need to Know About 50 Famous Phobias by Sara Latta (Zest Books). After studying Japanese language and culture for many years, she spent a year abroad in Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from New York University: Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a major involving cross-cultural storytelling. She was an intern at Zest Books, the publisher of Little Fish by Ramsey Beyer and Tomboy by Liz Prince. She has spoken upon invitation to The Blake Society (London), Yale University School of Drama, and Germanna College (Virginia); and was asked by the Inspired by Blake festival (in conjunction with Blackwell’s Bookshop and the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, University of Oxford) to write a guest article for their blog. Her illustrations are also featured in Age of Saints: An Illustrated Guide to the Saints of Wales and Welsh in the Old West (A Raven Above Press), Magic Bullet (Washington, D.C.’s free comics newspaper), Do More Good. Better. (High Impact Press), and FMyLife’s Illustrated FML. In 2015, she successfully Kickstarted volume one of The Poet and the Flea and is now working on volume two. www.gegallas.com
