PIX is pleased to announced Conor Stechschulte as a guest at PIX 2016. A founding member of Closed Caption Comics, the loose knit group of comics makers that came out of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in the early 00s, Stechschulte has gone on to produce a number of well received self-published risograph editions as well as a graphic novel for Fantagraphics – The Amateurs – and now Breakdown Press of the UK has just released the second, massive, risograph serializing his latest work, Generous Bosom. Stechschulte heads off the beaten path when creating his comics, which often take place in rural or semi-rural settings. They focus on exactly those sort of people and scenarios that you won’t find depicted elsewhere; isolated people in locales you’ve never heard of getting themselves caught up in goings on that are not what you'd expect nor what they might at first seem...
